| ~History~ Toris had a very happy childhood. He lived in a wealthy Muggle neighborhood, with his two little brothers and very loving parents. And of course, there was his very best friend in the world- Feliks. They first met at the age of five when Toris had gotten beaten up by one of the older kids who lived nearby, and Feliks said he would help him as long as Toris did whatever he said. Together, they were an inseparable unit. They could take on boys twice their age, always coming out on top no matter what the injuries. Although Toris did take on a lackey position, and Feliks frustrated him to no end, the two genuinely cared about each other. Things would not last. One day when Toris was nine, while he and his brothers were playing with Feliks, their house burned to the ground with his parents inside. Though the police suspected foul play, there was no indication of the culprit. Shortly after, a man showed up claiming to be their uncle. Toris could vaguely remember seeing him at a family gathering once years ago, but it was hazy. For some reason or other, no one else in the family stepped forward to take custody of Toris and his brothers, so this uncle took them in. The man soon proved himself to be abusive and insane. He would force the brothers to do ridiculous amounts of work for children, and would beat them severely for failing to do as commanded. Toris received the brunt of this, as the time spent with Feliks had made him brave and strong-willed. His uncle did his best to beat this out of him, and by the time he received an invitation to Hogwarts two years later, he went to the school even more timid and subservient than he used to be, with a gruesomely scarred back. Toris enjoys his time at Hogwarts a great deal, as it is the only chance he gets to be away from his uncle and he is actually a very gifted student. However, in his absence, his brothers are treated even more harshly, so he never misses an opportunity to return home. He plans to leave that place the second he is of age and can properly inherit the money left to him by his parents in their will. Fortunately, due to an event at school that made Toris's home life very public, he and his brothers are now staying with the Kirklands over breaks. ~Fun Facts~ · His best subject is Herbology- he has a natural affinity for plants. · His brothers are Eduard (14) and Raivas (12). · The only photograph he has of his childhood is one of himself and Feliks. They rest burned in the fire. ~Relationships~ Arthur Kirkland, Teacher- Transfiguration professor. Arthur allowed Toris and his brothers to live with him during the summer after their private life became public. Toris thinks Arthur is a very kind and generous man, and doesn't understand why Alfred dislikes him so much. He feels very indebted to Arthur, and would like to repay him somehow. Haseo, 7th Year Gryffindor- A particularly perceptive upperclassman. They first met when Haseo accused Toris of having an abusive home life. This deeply unnerved Toris, something which he will never completely get over. He is, however, at least trying to be cordial with Haseo. Feliks Łukasiewicz, 6th Year Slytherin- His BFF from childhood. After Toris was taken in by his uncle, he was barely able to keep in contact with Feliks through the occassional letter. This year, Feliks transferred from Hogwarts, and the two have been reunited. Although Feliks is selfish and troublesome, Toris cares for him a great deal, and wouldn't trade him for the world. Alfred F. Jones, 6th Year Gryffindor- His classmate. Toris considers Alfred to be a very good friend, and admires his confidence a great deal. Sometimes Alfred's mood swings make Toris nervous, but he's started getting very used to them. However, despite the immense trust he has for the blonde, Toris cannot quite bring himself to open up to him about anything series when he can avoid it. Junpei Iori, 6th Year Hufflepuff- His roommate. Recently they've been bonding more, talking about 'guy things' and generally have a good time together. Toris does think of him as a friend, and is interested in getting to know him better. Raimei Shimizu, 6th Year Gryffindor- His classmate. She's another one of those types- the perceptive, prying type. She's also gotten very close to his little brother. As much as he dislikes both those things, he can't help liking Raimei a little. It helps that they both have martyr complexes. Saralegui Sargon, 6th Year Slytherin- His partner in Dueling Ettiquette. Toris doesn't know Sara that well, but thanks to some event-granted hypnosis, Sara knows quite a bit about him. However, being under the impression that it was told of his own free will, Toris isn't at all suspicious of Sara. Regardless, Toris still doesn't know what to make of him- but since he seems friendly and not overtly cruel, Toris will just have to trust him. Eduard Lorinaitis- His brother. The two don't have very much in common; back when they were little, Toris more or less ignored Eduard in favor of playing with Feliks. Since their parents' deaths, however, they wound up coming together to protect their little brother. They're pretty close now, but the fact that their interests and tastes are so different makes things awkward every now and then. Raivis Lorinaitis- His youngest brother. Much like with Eduard, Toris didn't think much of his youngest brother until their parents died. At that point, he took it upon himself to look after the only family he had left. Toris still feels incredibly guilty that he had to leave Raivis alone for four years before the little boy was also accepted into Hogwarts. It's not something he'll get over easily.
